I’m a bit confused about how usage is billed in Cursor and wanted to check if I’m misunderstanding something.
When I use Auto mode to perform a task, the usage dashboard shows that both Auto and API usage are being billed.
I originally assumed these were two separate pools (like Auto usage vs API credits), so I didn’t expect both to be counted for the same action.
Is this expected behavior?
- Does Auto mode internally make API calls that are billed separately?
